Solar panel clamps hold the panels on the mounting structure: mid clamps between two panels, end clamps at the two ends of each row. Solenix Solutions supplies GI mid and end clamp kits, an HDG mid clamp, an aluminium mid clamp, the GI Solgrip clamp and an anti-theft clamp from Jalandhar, Punjab, with dispatch across India.
To choose, start with the frame height on the panel datasheet: 30, 35 or 40 mm. Then pick the finish for the site. GI suits most inland rooftops. HDG, with an 80 µm hot-dip coat against 50 µm on our GI kits, is for coastal, humid and industrial areas. Aluminium is light and doesn't rust. Where panels are easy to reach, add anti-theft clamps.

Frequently asked questions
How many clamps do I need for a row of solar panels?
With panels on two rails or purlins, each row needs two end clamps at each end and two mid clamps at every joint between panels. A row of 10 panels therefore takes 4 end clamps and 18 mid clamps. Check the panel manual for where the clamps must sit.
Which clamps fit 40 mm panel frames?
The GI Solgrip clamp is made for 40 mm frames, and the anti-theft clamp comes in 35 and 40 mm. The GI mid and end clamp kits, the HDG mid clamp and the aluminium mid clamp are for 30 and 35 mm frames.
